I remember the first time I ate a McGriddle. I was a big fan of McDonald’s breakfast, and I decided to order my usual bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit at the airport around 7 AM. What could go wrong? I foolishly asked for a Number 6, thinking it would correspond to that item, but I was foolishly mistaken. Instead, I was given a sausage egg and cheese McGriddle, and my exhausted mind became confused beyond belief. I had no idea this menu item existed, and I did not understand its appeal. So many questions flooded my mind, unanswered. Why would I want a pancake breakfast sandwich? Does anybody actually order this? How did they get the logo perfectly seared into the bun? Although I was unconvinced in 2018, five years later, I love a McGriddle for breakfast. If you’re as gross and unashamed as me with your McDonald’s order, you’ll love these McDonald’s memes.
