A meme might seem like a humble thing by itself, but we forget the vast amount of processes it takes for it to be presented before us. We’re reliant on the people that build our phones and computers, the servers that maintain the internet itself, and the places on the internet that are a suitable avenue for finding them. From a meme creator perspective, they probably need basic Photoshop, access to appropriate images and video, and of course the all-important cultural knowledge that is going to bring the humor. It’s a lot!

I’m not saying that we have to make ourselves appreciate this every time we look at a meme. I just think that it’s good to have the reminder now and then. Other than that, most memes aren’t here to encourage very much thinking at all. That’s just the way we like it, so scroll on to enjoy even more of the same.
