I love how some people don’t see how their actions are 150% cartoon villain worthy. Take this one stepfather, which I can’t seem to help but imagine any other way: red skin, horned forehead, classic smirk, and sharp teeth. He hands over a contract with an extremely long finger, waiting for the perfect moment to cackle as he gains eternal possession of the family home. In this real-life drama, he’s trying to intimidate his stepkids into signing away their inheritance. The scene is set: he presents them with forms, warning that if they don’t comply, there will be grave consequences.
The twist, though, is that there are no impending consequences to justify this dramatic threat. It’s like watching a B-movie villain monologue about his wicked plan that you know isn’t going to work.
