Rebooting the Harry Potter movies into a TV show wasn’t enough…now they’re going to re-record the Harry Potter audiobooks with actors instead of Stephen Fry. The actress playing Hermione in the show will also play her in the first three audiobooks of the series. 

I’m not sure how to feel about this. The Harry Potter audiobooks narrated by Stephen Fry are iconic. The way he managed to characterize every character through only his voice is a true testament to his talents. There is nothing wrong with those audiobooks, but there’s always money to be made with remaking something that was already pretty great to begin with. That’s why they’re making the Harry Potter HBO Max TV Show, after all. I will be surprised if the new audiobooks surpass the original in quality, and I feel the same way about the TV show surpassing the movies. If you agree, these Harry Potter memes might be for you.
