Once upon a time, Reddit was one of the craziest places on the mainstream internet.

Back when it was in its infancy, it operated with a free speech, minimal moderation ethos that allowed some truly unsettling things to flourish in the depths of the site. It was a place where those with nowhere else to go went to express themselves, and sometimes, there was a pretty good reason why the only identity they could claim was that of a Redditor.

Things are rather different these days, with a much larger userbase and more stringent monitoring of them, but the fact remains that it can get pretty wild on the front page of the internet. The fact that it is so easy to be anonymous prompts people to share things that they may not otherwise be comfortable sharing, and what they choose to tell us can be juicy. There is no better place for crazy story times than here, even in the present.

As a place that a lot of people go to for advice, it is sometimes the case that Reddit is conceived as a more serious platform than some of its flashier counterparts. That could not be further from the truth, as it has plenty of pockets that are a haven for sh**posting and just generally ridiculous things that can be endlessly entertaining. However, it can be overwhelming to try to seek out and digest this all by yourself, so we have made the process a little easier.
