It’s hard to believe nowadays, but there was a time when we weren’t confronted with the dumb opinions and embarrassing foibles of just about everyone we know 24/7. That’s not the case in the present, and one of the places that was key in foisting this change on us was Facebook. 

In some ways, it’s true that we do benefit from being more connected to one another, but in others it seems like one of humanity’s greatest mistakes. Maybe we didn’t need such an intimate look into the inner workings of other peoples’ minds. There’s something about social media in general that encourages an unnecessary amount of oversharing, but Facebook has always taken things to another level. It has led to many horrifying moments, and a few amusing ones.
