As a young cultural icon once said, «Animal crackers in my soup. Monkeys and rabbits loop the loop Gosh, oh gee! but I have fun Swallowing animals one by one.»  All I can say is wow…what a freak. It’s not that I object to animal-shaped crackers on any moral ground. Quite the opposite, actually. My objection lies in that little miss Shirley Temple has a stunning lack of biodiversity swimming in her cream of wheat. 

Some memes aren’t for the average little baby animal lover: mere children who only know about dogs, cats, fish, birds, dinosaurs, etc. You are about to see the memes for certified animal maniacs. These are memes of an esoteric variety. They are the memes that only a highly developed animal stan will even begin to enjoy. These are memes that Steve Irwin would have wanted to consume had he been alive to see the popularization of the meme in popular culture. If that’s not enough to get you scrolling, then I don’t know what is.
