If you’re a real Harry Potter stan, you know that today is a very special day. On this day 36 years ago, the original Boy Who Lived, Daniel Radcliffe, was born. I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t know if the new actor playing Harry will hold a candle to Radcliffe, even with his …

Filming has officially begun for the upcoming Harry Potter HBO Max show (yes, they have finally changed the name back to HBO Max), and HBO has released pictures of the actors playing Harry and Hagrid. You might think that for a new show, they’d be going for a slightly modernized look that sets this show …

Tom Felton is such a rare case. Most of the people who played minor roles in big children’s movies have moved on with their lives, occasionally enjoying the benefits that come with being formerly famous. Tom Felton has been milking Draco for all he’s worth for the past 15 years, and I don’t think he …

The new Harry Potter HBO show is nearly completely cast, and all I can say is «Oh boy, here we go again! I can’t wait to watch the exact same magical adventures of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, but with slightly more details from the books! I was really missing all of the extra Quidditch practices …

I wonder what will happen when Harry Potter enters the public domain. This year, such iconic works as the book Valley of the Dolls and the composition An American in Paris have outlasted their copyright and, therefore, can be used without payment or prosecution.  I’m not sure if many of us will still be around when Harry Potter can …

The play …

The actors playing Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the new Harry Potter HBO Max series have been announced, and the fan reaction has been relatively positive. Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter, with Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout portraying Ron Weasley. If you don’t recognize these names, that would make sense unless …

I don’t know about y’all, but I love A Very Potter Musical. I’m not going as far as to say that it’s superior to the official Harry Potter Broadway show, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, but it’s incredibly close. I love that the original musical can squeeze in the plots of the last four …

Who should play Snape in the upcoming HBO Max Harry Potter series? A lot of Harry Potter fans are outraged about the casting of Paapa Essiedu as Snape, and are making that outrage known online. They are commenting on every HBO post imaginable, begging the creatives to recast the role of Snape. One of those …

Dobby is such a weird character. I understand why Harry Potter needed its own version of Gollum, but Dobby feels more like an annoying obstacle than an actual character I’m supposed to connect with emotionally. I feel like the Harry Potter fandom is pretty split down the middle on whether Dobby is a stupid distraction …
