Cat memes are nothing new, but after an ancient shitpost made the rounds last week, memes about cats and salami have started to take over our timeline. The original post, which sports photos of cats with tasty cured meat, features text from a blog post from the San Diego sausage makers at MeatMen – in which the California chefs say «cats can have little a salami.» 

The weirdly worded phrase makes it sound like cat-written propaganda, and memers have been having a ton of fun with its hilarious specificity. We’ve put together our favorite examples, but we’re sure the format is going to stick around for a while. While this doesn’t bode well for our sodium levels (can’t stop thinking about salty meats) it’s great news for our entertainment level;s.
