News spread like wildfire the day that the When We Were Young (WWWY) festival was announced. All of the biggest, most nostalgic emo and punk bands were slated to gather in one place. For some, it was a dream come true. For others, it was a nightmare realized because there’s no way that, at our age, we could possibly stand continuously at a festival for over 12 hours. The physical feat was just too much— even with your back supporting shoe inserts. 

Gone are the days where we were actually young and here are the days where we revel at the Williams Sonoma catalogs that we get mailed every winter. Now that you’re 30, the greatest wonders of life are no longer the thrill of going out until the bars close or the stench of man-sweat from every armpit crease in the mosh pit. No no no. Now we love our scented candles, early nights, and trashy TV shows. Is this 30?
